Hola!! Well its your friendly neighborhood Elder haha. I want start by saying how much I miss my wonderful family and how thankful I am that my little bro Tyler is feeling and doing better. I got to say this week went super fast. It also feels like the time back home for you guys is just flying by.
Anyway I've got first start by saying I wish I was there in Disneyland with you HALLE, HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAY!!! I remember when I was little and went to Disneyland and I was scared of the splash mountain ride haha. This week was a great week for me in that I talked a lot more Spanish. Know I know I'm not perfect but I have got to say I can really do this now. Spanish was great to learn and might be the biggest and hardest thing I have ever done but it's going to be an awesome to know in the States. This week was ok for investigators. We're teaching a woman called Isabel. Get this, her son in law was a missionary here, haha, crazy right. She is progressing but she didn't go to church last week so I have to macheete her tomorrow. Which means I need to share a scripture with her that makes her feel bad. I hate doing that, but unfortunately it's the only way to get someone to do something here. I'm expecting a baptism with her in a month so we're going to see. Also we are now teaching a family who is super cool. They are seriously like perfect investigators. One night we gave the Dad a Book of Mormon and I think he might be that one investigator that reads it all in one night. Their family is really cool and I can't wait to see them progress in the church. Also something cool this week was when we had a service project. We helped a member in our ward gather these vegetables that are like potatoes but are bigger and red. It was a great work out and I've got to say I'm a expert with a machete haha. The only thing which was a little scary is that these huge spiders were everywhere. So it was cool but you had to be very careful. But It was a sweet service activity. Also I'm sorry I don't have a lot of pictures of this area. I not going to lie I'm fine but I'm in the most dangerous part of my zone and it's almost the most dangerous part of Nicaragua. A lot of elders have unfortunately have been robbed in this area. The thing is that the people here are tiny. So If I wanted to beat the crap out of 4 punks I could but president tells all the missionaries to not even think about starting anything with the people so I'm going to do what he says. But this is the reason I don't have a lot of pictures because I don't want my camera to be stolen. This new area also has cochons. Cochons are men that dress up as women. They are extremely gay. LIKE SUPER GAY.Also another thing about my mission I have learned is that I now have a love for reading. I know Mom its a shock!!! But I love reading and studying questions the investigators have. I hope this love for reading doesn't stop after my mission haha. I think that learning a new language takes patience. I now understand that instead of thinking,"crap what do I do next" I have learned if I just calm down and think I can get stuff done and receive direction. We'll I have got to say that a sad thing for the week is here in Nicaragua everyone is preparing for Christmas. I almost cried because one of the members has the same santa and frosty decorations as we do.I miss everyone I'm happy everyone is safe and I am going to work hard and pray everyday for you guys! Love you!!!
