Bello Amancer Week 37

WOW WHAT A WEEK!!!! WELL I'M A DAD!! I'm training!!! My companion is named Elder Jovle. I love him and we're going to have a lot of success. He is from El Salvador and likes to brag about how his country is very scary. He is very funny though.  He was a break-dancer before his mission too. I'm going to work very hard with him to be a great missionary!! Anyway we went back to a less fortunate part of our area and now we are teaching 2 families so that's really cool.

This week I had a really cool experience. So some Elders In my district have had 2 baptisms fall through in two weeks. On the day that one person was scheduled to get baptized, he got scared and ran. Anyway the ZL's were mad so I went to work with them last Saturday. When I visited the first person all I had to say was, "Let’s go man!" It was almost like I was on a football team again. And he got all amped up and he was baptized in the morning. The other person I was able to work with was an awesome experience. Last week I talked to her a ton about baptism and we got to be great friends her name is Sada. I think we got to be good friends because she has an attitude similar to my Mom. Anyway, she left to work and she left me a note that said something very cool. She said, "Elder Hironaka I know you really want me to be baptized and I know God wants me to be baptized and loves me. I know that some how he will prepare a way for me to be baptized."  After I read the note I asked her missionaries what time she would be home tonight and they said 10. So I told them be ready at 10 and that we were going to baptize her.  At 10 they called me and told me she doesn't want to be baptized right now. I told them to tell her to wait and that I wanted to talk to her. So not thinking I called a taxi to go to their area. Well, half way I looked in my wallet and I didn't have any money. I knew and thought then that this guy is going to have a fit when I tell him I don't have any money. When we got to the church to talk to her I opened the door and at my feet under a rock was 100 Cordoba!!! When my companion saw that he was like, "no way!"  I paid and after that I knew Sada would get baptized because that money was a miracle. I walked up to her and all I said is, "you ready? God has really prepared a way for you." She looked at me and with a huge smile and said, "Have you ever baptized someone at 11 at night?" I told her I'm going to start tonight. She laughed and said, "Let's go." Sada was baptized at 11:30. It was a great night in my mission and I don't think I will ever forget it.

Bello Amancer Week 36

Well It's your Elder. I want to say this week was a long week with a lot of stuff. I am going to start by saying this next week is changes. And this week I had a ton of work in other areas.

I worked with two new Elders that had a family get baptized and a marriage. It was cool but wow it was a lot of work, This Tuesday I was in interviews for 4 hours with them. I really like interviewing because I can feel the sprit a lot. Anyway, all of them passed the baptism interview but the day of the baptism the family was really nervous and in the water two of the daughters freaked out. I had to direct everything because their ward mission leader didn't show up. Long story short after trying to baptize them 6 times they were finally baptized and were confirmed.

Also, I said this week is changes. I have to say it's been great being Elder Aguilar's companion and I have learned more patience. We had a great time and a lot of success. But, I hope this next change I can train. My time with Elder Aguilar has taught me I can really train a missionary and have success.

It's also crazy to think you guys all are in Montana. Time has gone so fast I miss all of you guys so much please be safe on the slopes.

I Want to tell you guys I'm really happy for you guys and I'm happy I'm here even know I'm not with my family. I know that we are going to be an eternal family and I'm really grateful to see and to help others here be eternal families too=) LOVE YOU!!!! BE SAFE!!!!

Q) How is the reactivation program working?

Bello Amancer Week 35

Well as always it’s your friendly neighborhood Elder Hironaka. This week was super fast! I worked super hard but it almost feels like there is not enough hours in the day to do everything, haha. But I guess that's not a bad thing.

Anyway this next week we have another maybe. Here named is Maria. She is cool but we're going to see how it goes because she is really scared. So I don’t know. She has been an investigator for a year so I hope I can be the Elder to baptize her.

This week however we had an investigator get baptized named Jared. He is super funny. He is jacked & ripped for a Nicaraguan. But it’s funny because he always wants to arm wrestle. He says my last day here he will beat me, haha. Anyway he wanted only me to baptize him too, which was cool.  So, I got enter into the water again, which was really cool.

Other thing this week was that school started for the kids. Here school is like from 6:00-10:00AM or 12:00 4:00PM.  The kids can pick which one they want to go to. The other thing here is they have tests like finals for us but if they don't pass they have to repeat. So, I have one friend that when he will be a senior he will be 21. I'm happy I didn't go to school here haha.

This Wednesday was cool because we had a multi-zone meeting with Elder Duncan from the 70's quorum. He was really cool and you guys are going to die but he told us that last year in all of Central America there were 22,000 baptisms and sadly only 2000 are going to church=(Anyway he has a new plan for us to reactivate families and President Russell choose 3 companionships to test out the new plan and I am one of them. So, I have faith it will work but were going to find out, right?

I want to say my testimony of prayer has really been strengthened. If we are perfectly following the commandments and doing the right things he will hear our prayers. And if you are really in line with the sprit you can see the blessings. I wanted to say thank you guys for your prayers and that I love all of you.  Thanks for everything!

1 Do the kids go to the same amount of school as we do? Nope. Today was the first day of school for them. They have more school days than us but they only go to school for 4 hours.
2 What do the people do for careers? They have jobs just like us, dentists, lawyers, but they all get paid badly.
3 Is zone conference and changes happen on the same day? Nope we had a zone conference 3 days ago.
4. What do you do on P-day? Sleep I have been so dead
5 Did you get your Birthday package yet? I got it and loved it!

Hey I can’t talk a lot. This day was really long and I’m short on time to write but,  I want you to know I’m ok. I’m loving it here and we’re doing great. This week we had an investigator get married and after had her baptism. I guess If worst comes to worst after my mission I can be a wedding planner, haha. Anyway it went really great. She is 17 and he is 19 and they have only known each other for 3 months but they were ready for to get married. I want to say I always have you guys on my mind.

I’m super jealous you guys get to go skiing please be safe and have fun. Tell TY to take it easy on the hand and about baseball believe me the baseball coaches would be stupid not to put Tyler on the team. Tell him not to worry he will make it for sure. I miss you mom please be safe I will write a ton next week! Love you please be safe!
