Missionary Farewell

Chloe spoke along with one of Eric's favorite Young Men Leader's Brick Allen. The youth sang a beautiful rendition of the hymn "We'll Bring the World His Truth". Eric spoke about President Uchtdorf's fall conference 2013 talk entitled "You Can Do It Now." Thankfully many family and friends attended the meeting.

THE CALL...

Eric always planned to serve a mission. He sent his missionary papers in on February 20, 2014. At the time Eric was a senior attending Gilbert High in Gilbert, Arizona. The call arrived on Saturday, March 8th. With his Mom out of town, it was decided that the call would be opened the following day. As a family, we talked about many possibilities of where he may be going. With many listening ears and family from Canada listening via Skype, the moment was finally here. But wait, could Eric pronounce "Nicaragua?" This was a place never imagined. Eric would serve in the Nicaragua Managua South Mission! He would be teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ in the Spanish Language and would leave just 2 weeks and 6 days after he graduated from high school!
